THE FLAVOUR FIEND STORY
Owen has been a chef since he was a child, learning to cook straight off the beach or boat after fishing and diving in the Bay of Islands.
After living in LA and working in top class restaurants frequented by Hollywood stars Owen travelled Asia on a culinary quest. He returned full of inspiration and ideas to his home town Whangarei, New Zealand and opened Killer Prawn Restaurant & Bar. He has won both Northland Hospitality Awards Chef and Restaurant of the Year numerous times.
Over the years his passion for food that packs a punch, makes no apologies for being bold and incorporates the absolute best flavours available, drove him to perfect these recipes.
Michele grew up in Ireland but has called New Zealand home since 2004. A food lover who’s passionate about nutrition and now a mum of two mini foodies, Michele has no time for complicated cooking. When it’s time to dine she wants nutritous natural food that tastes amazing.
